THEME OF THIS CIRCLE
Do you ever feel like you loose yourself in connection to others?
Are you in touch with your authentic YES and NO in every situation, and do you feel safe enough to communicate it?
When we are not in touch with our authentic YES and NO we adapt to the needs of others in an unhealthy way.
We are disconnected from ourselves and therefore we cannot connect authentically to the other.
Because many of us have done this for most of our lives, we need to practice reconnecting with ourselves before we connect to others, if we want to have healthier relationships in our lives.
That’s what we will explore together during this afternoon.
ABOUT THE CONNECTION CIRCLES
Deep down we all long to feel connected: being met, seen & heard by one another beyond what separates us. Yet somehow we all struggle with it, in our awkward and sweet humaneness.
The circles rotate between a set of themes that you can attend in whatever order you like and without having attended a circle before.
Come curious to discover different ways to meet beyond what separates us, through embodiment exercises, mindful observation, sharing and reflection.
We will use techniques and tools inspired by circling, mindfulness, authentic relating, embodied intimacy, somatic experiencing, trauma theory and yoga. All with the intention of connecting you with yourself and your body before you connect with others.
All human beings are welcome.
Every exercise is optional and you can bring a partner/friend to couple with if that makes you feel more at ease.
The event will be held in English.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING:
”Beyond the awkwardness the whole universe opened up in the eyes right in front of me”. / Sandra, participant“
"Thank you for a beautifully held connection circle yesterday. It felt huge to be a part of and witness the authentic connections that took place under your holding of the space.I feel richer as a result from what I got to experience and I’m looking forward to the next circle”. / Mats, participant
THE FACILITATORS
IDA HELMERS
My biggest passion is to create safe spaces where we can open our hearts & show up as our authentic selves, through that we heal what separates us.
I hold space with integrity and an open heart, allowing myself to also show up with what is and not put on a mask that creates a wall between us. Often I like to call myself a relational nerd, because I see relationships as a path of personal growth and mutual healing. This is the path I want to invite you into through these workshops: a path where we can walk each other back home.
I have spent a lot of time participating, training & assisting in the Embodied Intimacy community will start a Somatic Experiencing training this spring. I have a background as a Mindfulness instructor, health coach and massagetherapist as well as healing and energy work. The last couple of years I found a passion for relational healing and somatic awareness on my own healing journey and have since then dived into teachings around trauma theory, somatic resourcing & developmental psycholgy.
GUNTHER NANN
Gunther is very passionate about relating. After struggling with connecting to himself, and thus to others for long periods of his life, he discovered the value of embodiment practices to re-connect with his desires, fears and boundaries. Since he is feeling himself again relating went from being scary to being exciting.
When relating to others he is very curious, not only about the other person, but also about the field that is created when two or more people come together. Following his curiosity often leads him to amazing experiences in the moment, that he could have never planned for. Besides his curiosity he brings presence, trauma-awareness and an acceptance of whatever is, which gives other people permission to be themselves.
